Uruguay vs Brazil Prediction & Betting tips
In the qualification for the 2018 World Cup in the South American qualification, the next week will continue in Russia. In the Estadio Centenario Montevideo on Friday, 23 March at 23:00 CET, the match between Uruguay and Brazil will take place. The Uruguay squad is under pressure in the home team when the team of coach Oscar Tabarez does not want to slip further in the table.
Uruguay :
The Uruguayan national team is currently on the second place in the qualification in South America and would certainly be at the end of the 2018 World Cup with this ranking. However, there are still some games to be played in the South American group, and 8 of the 10 teams in the qualifying qualification hope for one of the 4 direct qualifying places. In the last qualifying matches, Uruguay did not have the best of the last 3 games and only one win and one draw. The last year’s performance was particularly bad, as the team of coach Oscar Tabarez had a 3: 1 defeat. At the start of the match, Edinson Cavani were the first to score a 1-0 lead for Uruguay.
However, goalkeeper Fernando Muslera had to take the equalizer with the half-time whistle, and in the second round, Uruguay was then significantly defeated and ended up losing as a loser. Already in the previous qualifying match against Ecuador, Uruguay had a difficult time, but still managed to score a 2-1 win thanks to goals from Sebastian Coates and Diego Rolan. On the 10th day the tour went on the team from Oscar Tabarez to Colombia and the Celeste had to be satisfied with a 2: 2 draw despite a lead up to 4 minutes before the final whistle.
The coach of Uruguay has a whole lot of outstanding players in his squad, although the selection may not be as great as for example in Brazil. On Friday in the home game, the coach has to forgo the main goal of Fernando Muslera because of a lock. Impressively occupied is Uruguay in the attack, where Cavani and Suarez regularly cause a sensation.
Provisional lineup: Silva; Pereira, Godin, Coates, Silva; Vecino, Rios, Sanchez, Gonzalez, Cavani, Suarez
Brazil :
Brazil were disappointed last year at the Copa America, where the team left the tournament after the preliminary round. For this reason the coach Carlos Dunga had to take his hat and was finally replaced by Tite. Under the new coach, the qualification for the upcoming World Cup in Russia was again a lot better and the Selecao was able to move to the first table in the South American group. Brazil have won the last 6 qualifying matches and are now at the top of the table with 27 points. On the penultimate day of the match, Brazil were given the eternal rival Argentina in Belo Horizonte, where the team beat the Gauchos 3-0 in front of some 50,000 spectators. First of all, Coutinho ensured the lead, and Neymar scored a 2-0 win before the half-time. In the second round, the Brazilians continued to dominate, with Paulinho scoring a 3-0 home win. In the next match, the trip went to Peru and there was a 2: 0 success for Tite’s team.
The Brazilian coach Tite has brought Brazil back to the road to success and so it looks quite good for the Selecao in qualifying for the World Cup in 2018. In the match in Uruguay the coach has to do without the injured Olympian winner Gabriel Jesus.
Provisional lineup: Alisson; Alves, Miranda, Marquinhos, Filipe Luis; Fernandinho, Augusto, Paulinho; Coutinho, Neymar, Firmino
