Amiens vs Nantes Prediction & Betting tips
Amiens got a big beating from Paris Saint-Germain last week and hopes to revive Saturday night against Nantes, a team that won very convincing last week.
Amiens:
Last week, it was no less than 5-0 for Paris Saint-Germain against Amiens in the Parc des Princes, a result for which every Amiens supporter will sign Saturday night at the Stade de la Licorne. Already in the first half, Amiens was 2-0 behind and no chance was created by Christophe PĂ©lissier’s team. In the second half, the match on paper was reasonably balanced, but Amiens was still trumped on all points and Regis Gurtner was allowed to take the ball out of the net three times in a match in which Amiens scored for the first time in the Ligue 1 five or more goals cashed.
In his own stadium, Amiens performs so far this season with nine points out of five matches; only Lille and Montpellier were lost at the Stade de la Licorne, while lesser gods such as Stade Rennais, Stade Reims and Dijon lost their lives against PĂ©lissier’s troops. Nantes can be compared with the lesser gods in terms of performance this season, so in advance a victory seems to be possible for Amiens, although it will be better to play than against Paris Saint-Germain.
Nantes:
In the first nine rounds, Nantes only won a visit to RC Strasbourg this season in a goal-wide game (2-3) and last week the first home win of the season was finally booked. An unchained Nantes shared the sheets in their own house against Toulouse, despite slightly lesser possession, and played the visitors from the cupboard to the wall. Both halves eventually resulted in 2-0 for Canaris, so the team of Vahid Halilhodzic took distance from AS Monaco and En Avant Guingamp and is only a point behind in fifteenth place.
The greatest star on the French fields of the previous round was Emiliano Sala. The Argentinian scored a hat-trick against Toulouse and is already on seven goals in nine games, there are only five fewer than he made last two seasons in over thirty games. Not only Sala excelled from the previous round, also Gabriel Boschilia, the 22-year-old Brazilian who is hired from AS Monaco, managed to stand out with a goal and an assist. By excelling these two attackers, goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu did not have to be the star of Nantes at all, but the Romanian who kept his goal clean had a remarkably little message.
