In the last group match in group F, the United States and Sweden face each other. Both countries are already guaranteed a place in the eighth finals of the World Cup, but as a group winner they want to avoid a strong opponent.

Sweden, too, this World Cup is flawless, although the Scandinavian ladies were unable to impress as much as the United States. Against Chile, the country initially ran into a South American wall, but struggled through two late goals to a hard-fought 0-2 victory. In a second place, however, a confrontation with the number two in group E, the Netherlands or Canada, awaits. These are both strong countries that you would rather not meet until later in the tournament.
After the thirteen-blower against Thailand, the goal difference is, of course, amply in favor of the United States, so the American ladies have enough against Sweden to secure a group win.
