Besiktas vs Wolves Prediction & Betting tips
In Group K, the (on paper) most beautiful poster of the group stage is on the program. Premier League mid-engine Wolverhampton Wanderers travel to Istanbul. In Vodafone Park, the teams will figure out who will take the points. Will Wolves manage to take the points to England or will they stay in the cauldron.
Besiktas:
Besiktas is one of the largest clubs in Turkey. In addition to Fenerbache and Galatasaray, the club from Istanbul has gained a big name in Europe. Nevertheless, Besiktas is underperforming this season. Whereas last season it was still third on four points of the leader, this season it is in sixteenth place after six rounds. For the record, that is a place in the relegation zone. An unreal situation, because it won only one of those competitions. It has now been four games without a win and Besiktas is sinking weekly. For example, last week was not hopeful. In the away match against Trabzonspor it was already more than an hour behind 3-0 and the match ended in a 3-1 score.
Also from a European perspective, the away match in Slovakia was not to write home about. Slovan Bratislava outsmarted the Turks. In an equal match it was Besiktas with the most ball possession and very high pass accuracy. After the original ninety minute playing time, 2-2 was on the scoreboard. There was injury time and in the 90 + 3rd minute and 90 + 4th minute, Slovan Bratislava scored the 3-2 and 4-2. With only 28% possession, the Slovaks scored four times. It was a long flight back to Istanbul.
Wolves:
Wolverhampton Wanderers also has a hugely weak start in the competition. And while the club from Wolverhampton last season and in the European preliminaries this season still performed enormously strong. The team of Nuno EspĂrito Santo defeated Crusaders, Pyunik Erewan and Torino both at home and away and with that it met (and perhaps exceeded) the expectations of the fans. Still, the club was nineteenth after six games and still had no victory. Leicester, Manchester United, Burnley, Everton, Chelsea and Crystal Palace did not win. They won against last weekend at Watford. Although the opponent had the most chances, Wolves won 2-1.
The European fairy tale started less well for Wolves. At home, the team lost 0-1 to Braga and the focus was not on. Wolves definitely had more chances, but was unable to convert this into goals. That was something Braga did and that is why the club won by one goal difference. Only in the minute was it decided and while Braga came for one point, it took the full booty to Portugal.
