Young Boys vs Rangers Prediction & Betting tips
In Group G of the Europa League, Young Boys takes on Rangers in their own Stade de Suisse Wankdorf. The pressure is on the still scoreless hosts from Switzerland. The visitors from Scotland already have three points in their pocket and, with a new victory, take a huge step towards the knockout phase of the Europa League.
Young Boys:
The Swiss national champion Young Boys has to work, because the team from Bern is still empty-handed in group G of the Europa League. The yellow-blacks played a visit to FC Porto two weeks ago, certainly not a meritorious game, but had to swallow a 2-1 defeat in the illustrious Estadio do Dragao. In the second group match against Rangers, the team of coach Gerardo Seoane must take points anyway, otherwise European wintering threatens to become a difficult story.
Young Boys, where former Ajax player Miralem Sulejmani, among others, has been under contract for more than four years, are certainly strong in their own Stade de Suisse Wankdorf. Last season, the team only lost a league game for its own public, and the Swiss are still unbeaten in their own season. However, the rear is very weak, as Young Boys has not managed to keep the zero in seven games in a row. Even the amateurs from Freienbach recently managed to score twice in the Swiss cup tournament (although they were eventually dried off with 2-11). Rangers:
The Scottish Rangers is in top form with five wins in a row. One of those was of course the 1-0 win at Feyenoord in its own Ibrox Stadium. Rangers could have won her first group match in the Europa League much more generously, but the Scots killed a handful of opportunities – including a missed penalty from James Tavernier. The Gers actually made it unnecessarily difficult, although the three points remained in Glasgow thanks to a whim of Sheyi Ojo.
The men of trainer Steven Gerrard can therefore work towards Young Boys-out with confidence. The artificial grass in Bern is of course not in favor of Rangers, although I think the Scots should be able to handle that. The game of the blue shirts is mainly based on a lot of battle and long balls on the bony striker Alfredo Morelos.
