Everton vs West Ham Prediction & Betting tips
Now that international football is over, club football starts again. The ninth round of the Premier League is kicked off at Goodison Park where Everton is playing in-house against West Ham United.
Everton:
Everton is in 18th place in the Premier League and that would mean relegation to the Championship at the end of the ride. One thing is clear: Marco Silva has to take three points this weekend with Everton, because otherwise it is certainly not unthinkable that Silva will be on the street from next week. The Portuguese lost his last four league games with Everton, and of course The Toffees should not do that. As previously written, Everton does not have a bad selection and if Silva does not end up in the left row with this group of players, he has failed.
Recently, Everton lost to AFC Bournemouth (3-1), Sheffield United (0-2), Manchester City (1-3) and Burnley (1-0). In the game against Burnley, the last game that The Toffees played before the international break, there seemed to be little to worry about the formation of Silva. Unfortunately for him, Séamus Coleman received his second yellow card after less than an hour of play and Everton was unable to keep a zero with ten on Turf Moor. The only bright spot for Everton this season is that The Toffees already won two games at Goodison Park, while they only won one point in four away games. Fortunately for Silva there will be another duel at the Goodison Park this weekend.
West Ham United:
West Ham United would normally be a competitor to Everton, but that is not the case. West Ham United performs – in contrast to the opponent of Saturday afternoon – this season well in the Premier League. The Hammers, led by Manuel Pellegrini, is neatly in eighth place in the competition. In eight games, West Ham United, which has the objective of finishing behind the top-6, already managed to grab twelve points and that is only three fewer than number three Arsenal.
Just before the international match, however, the results at the club from East London were somewhat disappointing. After the great 2-0 win over Manchester United, West Ham in the last two Premier League games did not get any further than a 2-2 draw at Bournemouth and a 1-2 defeat at home against fellow citizen Crystal Palace. Against Crystal Palace, West Ham United took the lead at the start of the second half by a goal from Sébastian Haller, but The Hammers had to take the equalizer shortly after a penalty kick and were awarded the 1-2 three minutes before time.
