Admira vs Altach Prediction & Betting tips
Since the 2011/12 season, Flyeralarm Admira has been back in the Austrian Bundesliga. The nine-time Austrian champion (last in the 1965/66 season) from the market town of Maria Enzersdorf is clearly overshadowed by the two big neighbors from the capital, Rapid and Austria Wien, but has been able to assert himself thanks to an outstanding youth work in the Austrian football upper house .
The “Südstadt” is one of the best youth centers in Austria and the sports management is not afraid to throw these young talents into the deep end. Time and again, young talents get the chance to present themselves on the big stage and earn their first spurs in professional football. In times of globalization, Admira does not put second-rate legionnaires in front of the Austrian youngsters, rather the young players are trained and developed.
Admira has already been the ideal springboard for a successful career for many professionals – Leipzig’s legionnaire Marcel Sabitzer or the long-time Austrian national player Marc Janko are just two successful examples who enjoyed their training in the southern part of the city.
Flyeralarm Admira :
The team from Maria Enzersdorf started the Bundesliga year 2021 without a win, but at least with two draws. As in the previous season, the battle for relegation will probably be the dominant topic in Südstadt until the last match day. With the upcoming division of points, excitement is guaranteed in any case.
Psychologically it would certainly be a great advantage if the red lantern could slowly but surely be given back to the competition. Meanwhile, the Buric-Elf has been in last place since the seventh matchday – with the exception of one round.
Overall, the team from Mödling celebrated just two wins in the season so far – both in the local BSFZ arena. Among other things, industry leaders Red Bull Salzburg were surprisingly defeated 1-0. It was only one of two league games in which goalkeeper and captain Andreas Leitner kept his box clean this season.
For the successful fight to stay in the league, the Buric-Elf will have to stabilize the defensive further in the coming weeks and get more penetrating power forward. With only two goals in the last five league games, the attack also falls far short of expectations. In four of the last five Bundesliga games, Admira failed to score. Since both teams want to take very little risk in a direct duel, Flyeralarm Admira against Altach could offer the tip that both teams will not score.
A similar course of play as in the last league game against SV Ried (0-0) is to be expected. There, too, scoring chances were scarce and the fear of defeat was greater than the hope of a win in a direct relegation duel. In the duel against Altach, central defender Niko Datkovic could celebrate his debut. The 27-year-old Croatian should do his part to get more stability.
Altach :
Hope is returning – although the SCR Altach Cashpoint was almost continuously in front of Admira in the table, Altach was the number one relegation candidate for many of his own supporters. The sporting leadership has been criticized by the fans for weeks, but the club officials see no reason to act and are loyal to both sports director Möckel and head coach Pastoor.
At least temporarily, President & Co. see their opinion strengthened, because after two weak appearances at the beginning of 2021, the Vorarlbergers achieved a surprising success in the third game against the previously strong Sturm Graz. In continuous rain Altach was even able to make up a deficit, although this time the Vorarlbergers were lucky due to a clear offside goal. With a lot of struggle and passion – two virtues that were rarely seen this season – the narrow victory over the rounds was saved.
It is possible that one or the other player realized that he had to fight for his “body”, because the club management had two interesting new signings around the win against Sturm Graz. First, striker Danilo Carando from Argentina was introduced. A 32-year-old attacker who has not yet left any traces in Europe, but has a strong hit rate in South America.
Much more spectacular was the announcement by former BVB defender Neven Subotic. With his vita and personality, the 32-year-old is not only an asset for Altach, but also for the whole league. With his experience and quality, he represents a clear upgrade to the previous squad.
Thanks to the success against the Blackies, Altach has again two points ahead of Admira and could gain a little cushion with a win abroad. However, the Pastoor-Elf had to travel home in six of the seven league games in the previous 2020/21 season without a point in their luggage. Only at the newly promoted SV Ried Altach was able to reward itself with a victory thanks to a happy game (early red card for Ried).
