Admira vs St. Polten Prediction & Betting tips
Flyeralarm Admira has been represented in the Austrian Bundesliga again since the 2011/12 season. The nine-time Austrian champion (most recently in the 1965/66 season) from the market town of Maria Enzersdorf is clearly in the shadow of the two big neighbors from the capital, Rapid and Austria Vienna, but has been able to assert itself thanks to excellent youth work in the Austrian football upper house .
The “Südstadt” is one of the best youth centers in all of Austria and the sports management is not shy about throwing these young talents into the cold water. Again and again, young talents get a chance to present themselves on the big stage and to earn the first spurs in professional football. In times of globalization, Admira does not put second-rate legionnaires in front of the Austrian youngsters, rather the young players are trained and developed.
The Admira was already the ideal springboard for a successful career for many professionals – Leipzig legionnaire Marcel Sabitzer or the long-time Austrian international Marc Janko are just two successful examples who were able to enjoy their training in the southern part of the city.
The decision which two teams from the qualification group can continue to flirt with a Europa League ticket was made two rounds before the end. It is still open who has to take the bitter course in League Two. The four remaining teams fight for relegation. In the Lower Austria derby between Admira and St. Pölten, both teams could even cheer at the end of the game.
On Saturday afternoon, the two teams from Lower Austria each celebrated a victory and thus made room for themselves in the fight for the league. In the betting base table service you can see that St. Pölten is now four points ahead of WSG Tirol. The Admira overtook the climber and is two points ahead of the Wattener.
A victory for Admira and a simultaneous loss to the WSG would make both teams very happy. The game starts on Tuesday evening at 19:30 p.m.
Admira:
In the relegation battle, not only is the sporting component crucial, but there is also a lot going on in the head. Setbacks have to be coped with without the team breaking into its individual parts. The Admira started the game on Saturday with the red lantern in their luggage and then had to cope with a cheap goal.
Zvonomir Soldo apparently found the right words in the cabin, because in the second phase of the game Flyeralarm Admira presented itself from a completely different side. With a dominant game and a bit of luck, the turnaround actually succeeded. Kolja Pusch from the penalty spot and Joker Sinan Bakis ensured the goals for the win.
But not only the duo ensured the victory, but also Erwin “Jimmy” Hoffer, who prevented the goal against the meantime 1: 2 with a spectacular rescue act. The Admira has impressively shown that the fight for remaining in the league has been accepted. A win that not only meant the jump to fifth place in the lower play-off, but is also a great encouragement to fix the league’s remaining.
With a victory on Tuesday evening, Flyeralarm Admira has the theoretical chance to do everything perfectly at an early stage. If the victory is missed or the WSG Tirol celebrates a threesome against Mattersburg, the big showdown in the form of a direct duel is on the program on the last day.
This nerve-racking battle should be avoided as far as possible, but looking at the previous home record does not give much hope. The Admira celebrated only two home wins in the BSFZ arena. The two successes in the play-offs were each successful in a foreign place.
With only nine home goals (20 abroad), no goal festival can be expected on Tuesday. A lot of struggle and passion can be expected in the neighborhood duel, playfully it will probably not be a treat.
St. Polten :
In the final phase of the home game against WSG Tirol, the Ibertsberger team lost the fruits of their work. After a dominant performance, the Lower Austrians conceded a completely unnecessary equalizer in the final phase. St. Pölten thus missed making the upholstery at WSG Tirol more comfortable.
Points could not be expected against Wiener Austria. The violets were full of self-confidence after four wins en suite and were able to take the lead twice in the first part of the game. But the underdog presented itself snappy and could not be got down.
Austria coach Ilzer asked his boys to keep their concentration high despite the fixed EL play-off qualification, but more than escort protection could not be made out as the game continued. Sankt Pölten took advantage of the hour and Joker George Davies set the course for victory with a double strike.
Thanks to the third win in the seventh play-off game, the starting position for the Lower Austrians is now very gratifying. Four points ahead of the last place in the table means that the Ibertsberger boys have their first match point on Tuesday. With a win, every calculation has to be put aside, otherwise it depends on the result in parallel play.
This season, SKN Sankt Pölten celebrated four of the six wins of the season in a foreign place. An away game is not necessarily a disadvantage.
