Angers vs Nice Prediction & Betting tips
Angers and Olympique Nice did good business last weekend by winning teams higher in the rankings, while several competitors lost points. Angers therefore seems to have another chance to win the left-hand row, while Olympique Nice again participates fully in the fight for European football.
Angers:
Angers is working on a good series in the Ligue 1 with seven points from the last three games, a number that was only surpassed by Lille, the number two of Ligue 1. After a draw against Toulouse, it was won by low flyer Dijon and subtopper RC Strasbourg. Because of the good series, Angers is now in twelfth place, a small improvement compared to the fourteenth place of last season, with a five-point deficit on the left-hand row. If Wilfried Kanga’s good form of the game against RC Strasbourg last weekend (2-1 victory by two goals from the young Frenchman) the left row is still possible for Les Scoistes, but then a victory in this game seems necessary for the team who won four matches this season at home.
At home in the first half Angers is all but threatening: in twelve home games in the first half a goal difference of -2 (3-5) was achieved and at halftime the Stéphane team therefore only appeared twice. In the fifteen minutes after half-time, five goals were scored, but this season was not enough for a positive goal-balance in-house. In spite of this, Moulin’s team remains a dangerous team in its own home, as only four of the twelve home games were lost and, among others, Lille and Montpellier were also won.
Olympique Nice:
In home Olympique Nice booked for the second time this season a stolen 1-0 victory over Olympique Lyonnais. Despite a huge field victory for Olympique Lyonnais, it was Rémi Walter who, after over an hour of play, was the only goal of the game from a penalty kick. Thanks to the tenth victory of the season, Olympique Nice is now on a shared fourth place, but the other three numbers (Montpellier, Olympique Marseille and AS Saint-Étienne) have a better goal difference and also have Montpellier and AS Saint-Étienne.
Olympique Nice managed to revive well against Olympique Lyonnais from the big 4-0 defeat against Lille from a game earlier. In ten of the 24 league games played this season, Patrick Vieira’s team managed to keep the nil, including two of the last three games. In five of the last away matches against Ligue 1, however, the zero was held zero times and a total of twelve goals were cashed, against only three goals. The total goal difference of the Vieira team after 24 rounds is therefore logically negative (-4 (19-23)), with both the attack and the defense remaining a problem for the shared number four of the Ligue 1.
