Bournemouth vs Burnley Prediction & Betting tips
Boxing Day is approaching for the clubs from the Premier League, because next Thursday, on Boxing Day, no fewer than nine games are scheduled in the Premier League. First the English club can play this weekend. On Saturday afternoon, for example, football is played in the Vitality Stadium where AFC receives Bournemouth from Burnley.
AFC Bournemouth:
AFC Bournemouth is in 14th place in the Premier League and has a four point lead over the relegation zone. Last season, The Cherries also coincidentally finished in 14th place in the Premier League and much more cannot be expected this season from Eddie Howe and his team. Howe is a great trainer and has reasonable material at his disposal at Bournemouth, but it is also clear that clubs such as Wolverhampton, Everton and West Ham United are just further ahead, despite the fact that the latter two teams are remarkably enough lower than those Bournemouth.
At Bournemouth they want to go into Christmas with a good feeling and then Burnley has to be won. The Cherries have confidence again after Chelsea was beaten 0-1 at Stamford Bridge last weekend by a goal in the final phase of Dan Gosling. The five previous games were lost for Bournemouth and so the victory over Chelsea came at a good time for Bournemouth. On Boxing Day, or Boxing Day, Bournemouth again plays a home game and then Arsenal is the opponent in the Vitality Stadium.
Burnley:
For Burnley it can be a tough week in the Premier League. The Clarets will play an away game at AFC Bournemouth this weekend, Burnley will visit Everton on Boxing Day and next week Saturday Manchester United will be the opponent of Burnley on Turf Moor. So it is certainly not inconceivable that Burnley will close the 2019 calendar year with a rotten feeling. On the other hand, Burnley is neatly in 12th place in the Premier League and The Clarets cannot be dissatisfied with that.
Just like Bournemouth, Burnley had a hard time in the competition in recent weeks. The Clarets lost to Crystal Palace (0-2), Manchester City (1-4) and Tottenham Hotspur (5-0), followed by the home game against Newcastle United last weekend. On Turf Moor, Burnley stepped off the field with a 1-0 win by a Chris Wood goal. At Burnley, they are not performing too well this season in away games: only one of the eight games was won.
