Bournemouth vs Reading Prediction & Betting tips
This week’s top poster will be played at the Dean Court stadium. Bournemouth is chasing for Reading, which has lost three games in a row. A preview of the game between the leader and number four of the Championship!
AFC Bournemouth:
After the first defeat of the season against Sheffield Wednesday, Bournemouth recovered very well against Birmingham City. The Cherries surprisingly went down on a visit to Wednesday (1-0). The main reason was a direct red card for defender Lewis Cook and the subsequent penalty. Cook is also not yet available against Reading due to his suspension. Birmingham was beaten 1-3. The big man on the Bournemouth side was David Brooks. With his first two goals this season, the highly talented Welshman was of great value in the victory at St. Andrew’s Stadium. The opening goal was incidentally made by Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld. The Dutchman shot controlled within ten minutes on a pass from Junior Stanislas.
Due to the three points on a visit to Birmingham, the gap between Bournemouth and leader Reading has narrowed to two points. With a victory on Saturday afternoon, Jason Tindall’s team may be the new number one of the Championship. In the run-up to the confrontation with Reading, Bournemouth can look with confidence at the results in-house. The Cherries are one of three teams that haven’t lost in-house this season.
Reading:
The international match was anything but inconvenient for Reading. After a fantastic start to the season, Veljko Paunović’s team ran into three defeats in a row. Due to the built-up buffer, The Royals are still at the top of the Championship, but the competition has made up the gap at a killer pace. Norwich City and Watford are only one point behind Reading and upcoming opponent Bournemouth, Bristol City and Swansea City can already overtake Reading this round.
Paunović has received good news about three injured players. Chances are that Ovie Ejaria, Liam Moore and Yakou Meite will be back at Bournemouth. Especially the return of captain Moore will give Reading a big boost. The defender was injured in the lost game at Coventry City (3-2) and since then Reading has scored three goals against both Preston North End and Stoke City. Incidentally, the Reading attackers were unable to find the net in both games (twice 0-3).
