Breda vs Maastricht Prediction & Betting tips
NAC lost its form in the second period but finally won again last week. Just like opponent MVV Maastricht, by the way.
NAC:
NAC won the first period and is thus already assured of participation in the play-offs at the end of the season. The focus of the Ruud Brood team could end up as high as possible on the rankings and play for the championship. The second period, however, did not quite reach what the fans had expected. In fact, the people from Breda were one of the worst teams of the second period. The first six games yielded only two points, with which NAC only kept Dordrecht on goal difference. Last Friday another victory finally followed, when they won 1-2 when they visited Jong PSV. This victory was desperately needed, because otherwise NAC would have dropped to ninth place in the ranking.
The constant change in the arrangement is particularly striking. BN / de Stem showed that NAC took on seven games with seven different configurations. In the front there is a rotation between Sidney van Hooijdonk, Finn Stokkers and Huseyin Dogan, all three of whom have not yet found their place in this period. MVV will have to be changed again, forced to. Midfielder Ivan Ilic is suspended against MVV after his fifth yellow card of the season. His logical replacement is Jordan van der Gaag, although Pele van Anholt also has a chance of playing minutes. In that case, Arno Verschueren will move to midfield again.
MVV:
Precisely in the week of trainer Fuat Usta indicated to be awake because of the poor results, MVV recorded its biggest victory of the season. In the Geusselt, TOP Oss, who was in a joint nineteenth place with MVV, was beaten 4-0. The goals were scored by excellent Thijmen Goppel, Anthony van den Hurk (assist Goppel), Luc Mares and Joeri Schroijen. MVV rose to sixteenth place through the three points, but the play-offs are still very far away for the people of Maastricht. For this there will have to be won quite a few times.
Especially in away games, the Star Carriers perform very poorly this season. Outside of Maastricht, only young PSV won this season, that was on 26 August. Only two of the last fourteen away matches played were won. Incidentally, the last visit to Breda in August 2016 was won. The hits then came in the name of Thomas Verheijdt and Alessandro Ciranni. Joeri Schroijen is the only selection player who was already there.
MVV said goodbye to Maxime Gunst this week. The contract of the Belgian, who, just like Pieter Nys, who left earlier, was inconsistent with Usta, was dissolved in good consultation. Both Nys and Gunst no longer appeared in the club’s plans. MVV has few injuries this season and has double occupied almost every position.
