Darmstadt vs Regensburg Prediction & Betting tips
Darmstadt – Regensburg, for the second time this season there is this duel. In August, SSV Jahn Regensburg, who climbed into the top half of the season for the first time this season, prevailed in the first round of the DFB Cup and, of course, would like to celebrate the reunion. The SV Darmstadt 98 has meanwhile fallen behind the Jahn and in the lower half of the table after nine winless games in a row.
Both clubs have met 31 times so far. With 17 victories, the Jahn is relatively clear in the lead in four draws and ten Darmstädter successes. In Darmstadt seven wins, three draws and only five failures speak for the lilies.
Darmstadt :
The SV Darmstadt 98 has arrived well in the 2nd Bundesliga after relegation and has made a good start with ten points from the first four games, although the Cup-out in Regensburg (1: 3) already clouded the opening balance. After a first league lead on Matchday 5 against VfL Bochum (1: 2), the lilies initially gave the right answer with a 4: 3 victory against Arminia Bielefeld, but since then there are now nine matches without three. Two draws were followed by three defeats in a row, before at least draws against Holstein Kiel (1-1) and Eintracht Braunschweig (2-2). A 1: 2 against SV Sandhausen, however, then came to a revelatory oath, the coach Torsten Frings put on the reins. With success, because at the 1st FC Union Berlin (3: 3) Darmstadt presented last weekend despite the late-cashed compensation significantly improved.
After the positive appearance in Berlin coach Frings should not change much, especially as Peter Niemeyer and Felix plate are still missing. Whether Kevin Grosskreutz and Artur Sobiech return, rather decides at short notice. Both threaten but the bank. Substitute toe break in Berlin Tobias Kempe could move into the starting lineup, while at home goalkeeper Daniel Heuer Fernandes at least the chance of a comeback exists.
Probable lineup: Heuer Fernandes – Steinhöfer, Banggaard, Sulu, Holland – Altintop, Kamavuaka – Kempe, Rosenthal, Mehlem – Boyd
Regensburg :
Apart from the cup victory against Darmstadt, the SSV Jahn has made a false start and lost the first two league games. On the third matchday, there was a 4-2 win at FC Ingolstadt, but promptly followed by a 1: 2 home defeat against Holstein Kiel. Even then it went changeable with a win at 1 FC Heidenheim (3: 1), two defeats against Dynamo Dresden (0: 2) and Fortuna Dusseldorf (0: 1) and a 2: 1 win against Eintracht Braunschweig. Subsequently, however, the Jahn got into a small crisis and lost in the league at SV Sandhausen (0: 2), against 1 FC Union Berlin (0: 2) and Erzgebirge Aue (0: 1) and in the Cup against the 1 FC Heidenheim (2: 5) four times in a row. Since then, the Oberpfälzer are undefeated. First, the Jahn won the two basement duels each in their own stadium against 1 FC Kaiserslautern (3: 1) and SpVgg Greuther Fürth (3: 2), then at FC St. Pauli (2: 2) take at least one point. Last weekend, with a 4-0 draw against MSV Duisburg, they won their third home win in a row.
Coach Achim Beierlorzer should again send an unchanged team to the square. The last with a strain failed Asger Sörensen but could at least return to the squad.
Probable lineup: Pentke – Saller, Nachreiner, Knoll, Nandzik – Geipl, Lais – Proud, Adamyan – Grüttner, Nietfeld
