The first round of the Bundesliga season ends next weekend, including the top match between Borussia Dortmund and TSG Hoffenheim. Before this match, the two clubs separated only one point from each other.
On Saturday, it will probably be about who is wintering on an international rank and who has to get behind it first. William Hill Bundesliga matches odds is in favor of Dortmund where it has 40/1 while 200/1 for Hoffenheim. Due to the past games between both clubs, a fun game at Signal Iduna Park is expected.
Dortmund
Due to a dry spell of competition nine games without a win, they parted after the 1: 2 defeat against Werder Bremen by Peter Bosz. His successor was the ex-Cologne Peter Stöger. Under this succeeded Borussia Dortmund last Tuesday with a 2-0 victory against FSV Mainz 05 the turn. Stoeger lays in contrast to Bosz again a greater value on an orderly defensive, which seems to do the BVB good.
Currently, the “black and yellow” are on the sixth place in the table. Their gap to the Champions League ranks, which are undoubtedly the goal, is only two points. With a victory on Saturday evening they could pass on their direct competitor, the TSG Hoffenheim.
However, Borussia Dortmund won only three out of seven games in their Bundesliga season in front of their home crowd, making them one of the league’s weakest home teams. On average, they scored three goals per game at Signal Iduna Park, but they also lost almost two goals per game. Most recently there were defeats against Werder Bremen, Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig. In matches involving BVB, matches are expected this season.
In ten of the last eleven Bundesliga games, goals have been scored on both sides. Against TSG Hoffenheim continue to fall numerous players and so Peter Stoeger on Lukasz Piszczek, Erik Durm, Gonzalo Castro, Sebastian Rode, Mario Gotze, Marco Reus and Maximilian Philipp waive.
Hoffenheim
TSG Hoffenheim has been struggling with shape fluctuations over the past few weeks. Victories were usually followed by setbacks. Therefore, in the Europa League it was already the end of the group stage. Even in the Bundesliga, it is not quite optimal with a record of seven wins, five draws and four defeats.
There, TSG Hoffenheim currently occupies fifth place in the table. With a goal difference of 26:20, in games scored by TSG Hoffenheim averagely 2.88 matches per match. Away there were last two defeats in series. It is now time to find a sense of achievement on a third place on Saturday. Mark Uth is the team’s dangerous scorer. He has already scored eight times this season.
Last Wednesday, the team of coach Julian Nagelsmann won 1-0 against VfB Stuttgart. In a fairly balanced game the Kraichgauern usually missed the fit to enforce their combination football. It developed a patience game, in which Mark Uth made ten minutes before the end of the game for the golden goal. Against last home weak Dortmund, the TSG Hoffenheim now wants to score abroad again. Julian Nagelsmann looks optimistically into the duel with the direct competitor.
