Dyn. Kyiv vs Juventus Prediction & Betting tips
Italian football giant Juventus will make the long journey to Ukraine this week, to take on Dynamo Kyiv in the first group match of the Champions League on Tuesday evening. The visitors from Turin are favorites, but have to do without Cristiano Ronaldo talisman in the Olympic Stadium in Kiev.
Dynamo Kiev:
After an absence of four years, Dynamo Kiev will finally make its appearance again in the main tournament of the Champions League, after the Ukrainians dealt with AZ and AA Gent in the preliminary rounds. In his own country, the team of trainer Mircea Lucescu is still unbeaten, and is in the lead with fourteen points from six rounds of play. After four second places in a row, the supporters of Dynamo Kiev can therefore carefully hope for a new national title.
Lucescu, who was appointed last summer, is therefore having a dream start with his new employer. In the beginning, the supporters did not like his arrival at archrival Shakhtar Donetsk at all due to his past, but now everyone in Kiev is walking away with the experienced Romanian coach. He also has some great players, as we saw again during the last international period. Striker Viktor Tsyhankov crowned himself with his goal as the match winner in the sensational 1-0 victory over Spain in the Nations League, while goalkeeper Georgiy Bushchan also kept a fantastic match. Dynamo Kiev is indeed a team to be reckoned with, although it is likely that the Ukrainians will compete with Ferencvaros for third place in this very tough group.
Juventus:
Juventus has been running the Scudetto over and over again in the last nine seasons, but the black and white from Turin have yet to get on steam this season. Last weekend, Juventus again suffered damage in this still early season by playing a 1-1 draw at the small Crotone, which means that the team with eight points from four rounds of play for the time being has to settle for fifth place in the Serie A. Andrea Pirlo, who has started his first job as head coach since last summer, however, is not worried: ‘The season is still long. I’m sure we’ll be back on top at the end of the ride. ‘
Yet the Allianz Stadium is currently rumbling. Cristiano Ronaldo recently tested positive for corona, and will therefore also have to pass up Dynamo Kiev-out after Crotone-out. In addition, Tuttosport reported that Paulo Dybala would have complained to technical director Fabio Paratici about his reserve role last weekend. However, Pirlo was not aware of any harm: ‘Dybala had only just returned to fitness and had only been able to train once. So it didn’t seem ideal to me to let him play. ‘
