Elche vs Dep. La Coruna Prediction & Betting tips
In the penultimate round of the Segunda Division, subtopper Deportivo La Coruna visits Elche mid-engine. Apart from the sporting honor, nothing is at stake for the home club, but the visitors have to win to keep their hopes of participating in the play-offs alive.
Elche:
Elche can look back on a meritorious season, because after the promotion of last year, the team ends meritoriously in the middle bracket after a strong second half of the season. With a bit of luck, even a final ranking in the left-hand row is still possible, although participation in the play-offs is no longer possible. The team of coach Pacheta only plays for the sporting honor in her last two league matches.
With six wins in the last seven home games, Elche has been very strong in his own Martinez Valero in recent weeks. Pacheta, however, has already announced what will be rotated and will, among other things, give Jose Juan playing time. The forty-year-old goalkeeper hangs his goalkeeper gloves on after this season, but did not come into action this calendar year and therefore misses rhythm. Furthermore, defender Juan Cruz is suspended because of his red card last week in the away match against Gimnastic Tarragona (3-3).
Deportivo La Coruna:
Deportivo La Coruna is one of the disappointments of this season in the Segunda Division. The Galicians relegated from the Primera Division last season and were previously considered to be one of the favorites to immediately promote to the highest level. The blue and white can, however, write direct promotion on their stomachs, and even participation in the play-offs depends on a thread. The current number seven will have to win both of their remaining two league matches, and at the same time hope that number six will miss Cadiz points. Only then would the team of coach Jose Marti be able to promote through the back door.
The interests are huge for Deportivo La Coruna on Tuesday evening. The team threatened to choke on itself last week in Real Mallorca, but thanks to a sharp penalty by Carlos Fernandez in injury time, they managed to get through the eye: 1-0. The form is therefore not quite what the creature needs. To make matters worse, club top scorer Quique Gonzalez (sixteen goals) is in the rag basket. Former NEC and Eupen striker Christian Santos is likely to replace him, although in 20 appearances this season he did not get any further than three scant goals.
