Excelsior vs Den Bosch Prediction & Betting tips
After the mostly highlighted match between FC Den Bosch and Excelsior earlier this season, the same meeting is now scheduled at the Van Donge & De Roo Stadium in Kralingen. Can the team from Rotterdam now be able to get a sportive revenge or will FC Den Bosch achieve results?
Excelsior:
Since the trainer change of Excelsior no more has been lost. Ricardo Moniz spilled too many points and eventually this would cost his own job. Marinus Dijkhuizen resigned from FC Utrecht to start his second adventure in Kralingen. However, the results were anything but impressive for Excelsior. Dijkhuizen’s formation has some changes compared to that of its predecessor. Dogucan Haspolat and Jeffry Fortes have left, but this is offset by the arrival of Cameron Humphreys, Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill and Wouter Burger. The defensive reinforcements are desperately needed, because the number of counter goals is huge. In the brand new head coach’s debut, his team gave away a 2-0 lead against NAC to 2-2 in the final minutes. However, his team did well in the away match against Helmond Sport.
Excelsior was clearly a favorite in the home game against Young AZ, but the team nevertheless faced a backlog during the first half. This was doubled early in the second half, but Excelsior quickly returned via Rai Vloet. Via Elias Omarsson and a wonderful free kick by Ahmad Mendes Moreira, the Kralingers took the lead. Although Excelsior did something back within two minutes, this also applies to Young AZ and that’s how it was 3-3 at Woudestein. Jong AZ received a penalty in the minute, but Thijs Oosting kicked the ball and burst it on the crossbar. A disappointing result for the people of Rotterdam.
FC Den Bosch:
FC Den Bosch had a very weak start to the season under Erik van der Ven, but now there is not much left of it. At least, the team is currently in tenth place. That is a big improvement on the eighteenth place that the team occupied after six games without a win earlier this season. Good series were interspersed with weaker series and the people of Bosnia are currently working on a stronger period. Ten points were taken in the last four games. With Helmond Sport, Young AZ, Roda JC and Young FC Utrecht, almost only low-flyers were on the program, but that kind of competition must be won.
For the last home game against Jong FC Utrecht and the next home game against Almere City, the long side of Stadion de Vliert must remain empty, the KNVB has decided because of the racist statements of the hard core. Even without the support of these fanatical supporters, Van der Ven’s formation took off with the victory. Young FC Utrecht took the lead, but Danny Verbeek soon made the tying run. When Jonas Arweiler made the 1-2, FC Den Bosch woke up again and scored the 2-2. In the end it was match winner Ruben Rodrigues – who was important this match with two assists – who made the winning. Ten minutes before time, the right winger scored his twelfth goal of the season. That was also the goal in which he was involved.
