G.A. Eagles vs Telstar Prediction & Betting tips
Go Ahead Eagles has had two excellent results against the league teams and hopes to finally win again on Friday when number four Telstar is the opponent.
Go Ahead Eagles:
As a relegant from the Eredivisie, the Go Ahead Eagles had a lot more of the season. The play-offs are no longer achievable via the regular rankings, so if the Eagles want to achieve something this season, it will have to be done through the Fourth Period. Otherwise it will be a season to quickly forget in Deventer. After 29 rounds, we find the Eagles back at the eighteenth place in the rankings, with only thirty points. Only RKC Waalwijk and Jong FC Utrecht are performing worse this season in the Jupiler League.
The low ranking is obviously far below the stature and the quality of the selection of the Eagles. Many a team that is a lot higher in the rankings would like players like Sam Hendriks, Sonny Stevens, Xandro Schenk and Bruno Andrade like in his selection.
The prelude to the last period is in any case hopeful for the team of Jan van Staa. Last week, against all odds, it was won on a visit to leader Jong Ajax. At the Toekomst it became 0-2 via a header from a corner by Rick Ketting and a penalty from Pieter Langedijk.
Last Monday, the Deventer Defense again held the zero against a U21 team. In Wijdewormer there was no score in the encounter with Jong AZ. It was keeper Sonny Stevens who pulled a point from the fire for his team.
Go Ahead can appeal to top scorer Sam Hendriks against Telstar again. The striker was sick last week, but can, like Bruno Andrade, make his comeback on Friday.
Telstar:
Telstar has had a number of goal-rich weeks behind it. For four consecutive weeks, there have been at least five goals in a game of the White Lions. Telstar is therefore by far the most attractive team of the Jupiler League. In competitions of the team of Mike Snoei usually fall most goals. Only three teams scored more goals than Telstar, but only four teams had to collect more hits than Telstar.
The surplus of goals is usually settled in favor of Mike Snoei’s team. Where many had predicted that Telstar would still fall back in the second half of the season, the team is still in fourth place with 51 points after 29 games. The gap with FC Dordrecht, in the current ranking, the first team to enter the first round of the playoffs, has already grown to eight points. As a result, it is almost certain that the White Lions will finish four games of promotion to the Eredivisie.
Both the good shape of the front line and the absence of long-term injuries have helped Telstar in fourth place. Andrija Novakovich already scored seventeen times, Melvin Platje already twelve times and Mohammed Hamdaoui already eleven times. Mike Snoei also hardly has to change. In his current selection there are no fewer than twelve players who have been in action at least 25 times this season.
