Germany vs Ukraine Prediction & Betting tips
Germany will play a home game against Ukraine in the UEFA Nations League on Saturday. After four match days, both teams are on six points. Will Germany live up to its favorite role in this match?
Germany:
Germany played friendly against neighboring Czech Republic midweek. In Leipzig, the strongest possible team of Die Mannschaft was by no means at the kick-off. Bundestrainer Joachim Löw had to deal with a number of injured players, and in addition, the necessary internationals also got a rest. With a B-team, the Czechs were beaten, who themselves were not at full strength. A goal from Luca Waldschmidt (Benfica) won 1-0.
For the next two games – on Tuesday, Germany will play the game against Spain – Löw has eight other players at his disposal. The greats of Bayern Munich are largely back in action, which of course gives the team a real quality impulse. Who will appear at the kick-off remains to wait, but Robin Gosens (Atalanta Bergamo) and Jonas Hofmann (Borussia Mönchengladbach) will certainly not play. They have been injured and have since returned to their clubs. Toni Kroos is not present on Saturday due to a suspension.
Ukraine:
Before the start of this edition of the Nations League, the national team of Ukraine seemed to have an extra role, with strong opponents such as Germany, Spain and Switzerland. However, Eastern Europeans are performing above expectations. League A has already been won twice in this Group 4. Last month, Spain was treated to a surprise 1-0 defeat, after losing 1-2 to Germany three days earlier by the team of national coach Andriy Shevchenko.
With six points from four matches, Ukraine is still participating for group win, although it is clear that Spain and Germany have better papers. Shevchenko has to contend with the necessary absences for the coming international match, partly as a result of positive Covid-19 tests. Last week, the Ukrainians played friendly against neighboring Poland. In Chorzow, Shevchenko’s team suffered a 2-0 defeat.
