Gorodeja vs FC Minsk Prediction & Betting tips
In the Vysshaya League, goals are actually a rarity. On the last day of the game, statistics-savvy betting fans were disabused – especially in the game between Minsk and Torpedo Zhodino. There were seven hits in total.
A week after the 2-5 home debacle against Torpedo Zhodino, FC Minsk visits Gorodeya for the eighth matchday of the Vysshaya League. As can be seen from the betting comparison, there is a match between Gorodeya vs. FC Minsk not a clear favorite according to the betting odds.
The guests are in an extremely weak form. FC Minsk has lost four of their last five league games. Only in the away game against Slavia Mozyr did the Red-Blue team from the Belarusian capital win. Gorodeya presented herself in much better shape than the guests from Minsk. In the last five games there was only a defeat against BATE Borisov.
In addition to our following Gorodeya vs FC Minsk forecast, there are other tips for the weekend games of the Vysshaya League in the betting base section International Football Tips.
Gorodeya:
FK Gorodeya has struggled from the table cellar. The green-whites were able to compensate for the weak start of the season with three wins in a row and are currently in the middle of the table with ten points on the account. Most recently, the team around head coach Oleg Radushko was twice without a win.
While the home defeat against BATE Borisov was still manageable, the recent loss of points in the away game against Rukh Brest is disappointing. Ironically, in stoppage time, Gorodeya conceded the equalizer to the 1-1 final. On Friday evening, the green-whites have again home rights against FC Minsk.
Last season FK Gorodeya had an acceptable home record of 7-3-5. This season there were two defeats and one home win in the first three home games. After home games against BATE (0: 2), Shakhtar Soligorsk (0: 2) and Dinamo Minsk (1: 0), it is now a comparatively easy task at home.
In seven games of the Vysshaya League so far, Gorodeya has not really been able to convince with a strong offensive. The green-whites are the third worst attack division in the league with four goals. At least from a defensive point of view, things went better for the ninth in the table: Gorodeya only conceded six goals and played three times to zero.
In the attack of the green-whites, Artem Arkhipov is undoubtedly the most important man in the squad. The Russian goal-getter was the most dangerous player in the squad of FK Gorodeya last season with eight goals in 13 appearances. Lazar Sajcic recently took on his role in the storm. It is quite possible that Radushko will remain true to his line.
FC Minsk:
FC Minsk finds no way out of the formal crisis. The capital city club received the fourth defeat of the current season on the previous day. With 2: 5 against Torpedo Zhodino, there was also the highest defeat since September 2019. Coach Andrey Razin is currently on thin ice and will have to fear for his job in a continuing negative series.
The weak defensive game of the capital kickers remains the big construction site in the team. With 15 goals conceded, FC Minsk is currently the worst defense in the Vysshaya League. The offensive of the red-blue – with eleven goals after all the second strongest in the league – could not compensate for the ideas of the back team.
Vladimir Khvashchinski leads the internal scorer list at FC Minsk with five scorer points (three goals, two assists). It is probably only a matter of time before FC Minsk pulls out the purchase option of Shakhtar Soligorsk’s loaner. Oleksandr Vasyliev and Roman Gribovskiy each scored two goals this season.
In the 2019 season, FC Minsk was still one of the worst away teams in the Vysshaya League. In 15 away games of the past season there was only one win. As the season start of the red-blue shows so far, the weakness away seems to have been overcome at least for the time being.
There have been two victories in the previous four away games, most recently against Slavia Mozyr (3-1). In order to master the upcoming task at Gorodeya, coach Andrey Razin will have to avoid another defensive debacle. Big changes in the squad of the capital kickers are not expected.
