Ingolstadt vs Braunschweig Prediction & Betting tips
Six games before the end of the season in the third division, the fight for promotion and relegation continues to intensify. This week has been the third consecutive English week since the third division started again. Among other things, the ascent riot between FC Ingolstadt and Eintracht Braunschweig increases. For Schanzer, it is a “do or die” game six games before the end of the season.
Braunschweig occupies – according to the current table constellation – a direct promotion place, since Bayern 2 cannot advance anyway as table second. If the FCI wins the home game against Eintracht, it would be a big point in the promotion race. As can be seen from the odds comparison on a betting basis, Schanzer are the favorites.
Since the restart of the third division, FC Ingolstadt has only lost the home game against the second team from the German record champions Bavaria. Nevertheless, the results against teams at risk of relegation such as Münster, Chemnitz or Großaspach were not really pleasing. The negative series of four home games without a win should be ended against the formally strong Braunschweig team.
Ingolstadt:
As sixth in the third division, the Schanzer still have the chance to advance. This is partly due to the current table constellation. With Bayern 2 there is a team in second place in the table that cannot advance anyway. According to the current status, the fourth place would go into the relegation games.
A groundbreaking six-point game is scheduled for the Schanzer on Tuesday evening. The FCI will welcome guests from Braunschweig in the Audi Sportpark at home. If the Ingolstadt lucky home win against the third in the table, the Schanzer temporarily slip at least two places in the table. To do this, however, the negative series must be ended at home.
In the last four home games there was no victory for the Schanzer. Three of the last four home games were even lost. Recently there was a home draw against the penultimate Großaspach, which was probably not surprising given the manageable restart of the Schanzer. The trend reversal under the new trainer Tomas Oral failed to materialize.
In the first half of the season, Schanzer still had the third strongest offensive in the third division. Meanwhile, the FCI seems to have lost the shine on the offensive. Only four other teams scored fewer goals this year than the Ingolstadt team. Should the offensive knot not soon burst, it will be tight for the Schanzer in the end of the season. Tomas Oral can largely draw on the full on Tuesday evening. Only Büch and Ananou still have to pause.
Braunschweig:
Because Bayern 2 is currently in second place in the table, Eintracht Braunschweig is third in the table and has a direct promotion place. Eintracht wants to continue the upward trend since resuming play in the third division. In the last five games, the Braunschweig team had four wins and only one draw.
The starting position for Eintracht speaks six games before the end of the season. In the remaining program of the third division, there are feasible tasks for the lions from Braunschweig. It is therefore all the more important to continue the strong second half of the season. So far, the Braunschweig team had a 6-4-3 record in the second half of the season.
Abroad, the team around head coach Marco Antwerpen recently took two away wins in a row. After the away game in Halle (1: 0) was just mastered, the Lions recently celebrated a 3: 1 away win at Unterhaching. Before the groundbreaking match against Ingolstadt, Eintracht had a 2-1 home win over Großaspach last weekend.
On Tuesday evening Antwerp will be able to draw on plenty. The 48-year-old has made some changes to the starting eleven in the past few weeks, but will probably not do any major rotation for the ascent. High performers like Proschwitz and Kobylanski were last spared in the course of the game anyway.
