Jong Ajax vs Nijmegen Prediction & Betting tips
The first round of the new season of the Kitchen Champion Division is over and Young Ajax and NEC were one of the losers. Both teams went down 2-1 against TOP Oss and FC Eindhoven respectively and can use a three-point well.
Young Ajax:
Young Ajax again consists of an extremely talented selection this season. Sven Botman and Teun Bijleveld have actually left the supporting forces of the past season. Players such as Navajo Bakboord, Mitchel Bakker, Ché Nunnely and Sebastian Pasquali were less able to play anyway. From a young age it is good to keep an eye on the early shifted trio Quinten Timber, Kenneth Taylor and Brian Brobbey. Alex Mendez recently came over from Freiburg and will also make his minutes in Ajax.
Ajax’s team of promises started the season last weekend with a defeat visiting TOP Oss. Young Ajax struggled to find a hole in the compact Osse defense and fell behind due to a blunder from Kjell Scherpen, who had come over from FC Emmen. After a penalty, TOP Oss doubled the margin after a break and there seemed to be no dirt in the air. It was Viktor Jensen who, on behalf of the team from Amsterdam, managed to beat the connection goal five minutes before the end. Young Ajax insisted, but ended up empty handed.
Nijmegen:
The past season had two faces for NEC. It was an excellent start and the expectations became higher and higher, but then there was a total collapse. Jack de Gier was eventually fired in the second half of the season and under the guidance of assistant coach Ron de Groot the Nijmegen team still forced a post-competition. Adrie Bogers is the new head coach and under his leadership the club hopes to achieve promotion this year.
While NEC remained unbeaten in the first seven games the previous season, the first defeat of the current season suffered last weekend. In the first competition match, NEC fell 2-1 to FC Eindhoven against its own audience. It was Branco van den Boomen who mourned the home team with two goals. Earlier this week the people from Nijmegen announced that Joey van den Berg and Mathias Bossaerts can leave without transfer. There is quite a bit of talent in the selection of NEC, but the question is whether it is enough for direct promotion.
