Jong AZ vs Cambuur Prediction & Betting tips
Marinus Dijkhuizen was recently sent away at SC Cambuur and a little later the Frisians even booked another victory. Cambuur hopes to continue the good line in the match against Young AZ.
Jong AZ :
For a team like Jong AZ it will be extremely difficult to make the step to the top ten in the Jupiler League. The team of coach Martin Haar does not have it easy in the first season in this competition and therefore the youngsters will have to put all sails in order not to finish last. The last few weeks have shown that everything really has to be done to get points. The last seven games yielded six losses and the North Hollanders have now dropped to seventeenth place. Only FC Volendam, Helmond Sport and Jong FC Utrecht performed even worse.
The last three games yielded three losses. At FC Dordrecht, 3-2 was lost and a week later FC Volendam won 0-2. The last duel with De Graafschap showed that Jong AZ does have something to offer, but the youngsters were left empty-handed after ninety minutes of play. Daryl van Mieghem took care of the 1-0 just before half time and that turned out to be the only goal of the match.
It will therefore be difficult to turn the tide against SC Cambuur and it comes in addition that Her eleven players from a young selection will have to choose. The first team comes into action three times in a week’s time and that’s why John van den Brom desperately needs his players.
Cambuur:
Cambuur could not live up to the high expectations during the first months of the season and ultimately resulted in the departure of Marinus Dijkhuizen. The coach did not get the team to talk and the fans now hope that Sipke Hulshoff will succeed in this. Hulshoff was in the past more often for the group and he brings with him the necessary experience. The first match under his leadership was actually won and this start could give Cambuur the boost that was sought for so long. Cambuur is still in sixteenth place and that is much too low given the qualities within the selection.
Last week Cambuur won the home game of Telstar, a club that succeeds in getting the maximum out of the team. The visitors still took the lead in Leeuwarden, but the hosts had the best clear last saved. Furdjel Narsingh put the 1-1 on the board with another thirteen minutes to play and later Ricardo Kip took care of the liberating winning goal by shooting from the penalty spot.
Against Young AZ, Hulshoff has to deal with a few injuries, but this usually involves players who do not really belong to the fixed basic eleven. Jurjan Mannes is still on the sidelines because of his fracture and Karim Rossi, Alvin Daniels and Martijn van der Laan are also not present.
