Jong AZ vs Graafschap Prediction & Betting tips
While the Eredivisie was stagnant due to the intercountry period, the Kitchen Champion Division continued as usual. At least, there were some clubs that had requested an extension in connection with (youth) international obligations. That is why there are some matches on Monday evening, including Jong AZ – De Graafschap.
Young AZ:
The first team from AZ is an excellent player at the top of the Eredivisie and is more praised by the media every week thanks to talents such as Owen Wijndal, Teun Koopmeiners, Myron Boadu and Calvin Stengs. The last two youth products have even made their debut in the Dutch national team during the last international match period. The youth of AZ is being watched more emphatically, but in the Kitchen Champion Division it is not very thriving yet. Currently the promising team, led by Koen Stam, is in fifteenth place and with a win rate of 20%, the victories remain scarce.
Last Friday, Young AZ went down in the away game against Jong FC Utrecht. The Alkmaar promises soon fell behind via a goal from Tommy St. Jago. Justin Lonwijk doubled that lead and made it 2-0 in favor of the Utrecht team. Two minutes later AZ responded via Richard Sedlacek with a connection goal. Young AZ then got some chances on the equalizer, but these were not exploited.
De Graafschap:
The club from Doetinchem is still undefeated in the Kitchen Champion Division and that is a great achievement of the team of Mike Snoei. De Graafschap has been at the top of the ranking for a few weeks, but it is now in second place. Only Cambuur did better than De Graafschap, which means that the club is now in second place. The large number of draws (6) meant that De Graafschap is three points behind Cambuur. However, the Frisians played on Friday-evening and won 3-0 against FC Eindhoven. If De Graafschap wants to ensure that it comes in a shared first place, the AZ will have to be won.
De Graafschap was able to warm up last Friday when it played against Young PSV at De Vijverberg. The promises of Jong PSV were not strong enough and although they still took the lead, De Graafschap managed to turn that backlog into a victory. Daryl van Mieghem, Ted van de Pavert, Mohamed Hamdaoui and Stef Nijland scored. De Graafschap won 4-1.
