Jong Utrecht vs Almere City Prediction & Betting tips
Young FC Utrecht and Almere City are both in the middle bracket of the Kitchen Champion Division and the difference concerns only one point between these teams. Which team knows how to win the race and push through to the left row?
Young FC Utrecht:
Young FC Utrecht started the new Keuken Kampioen Division season very well at the start of this season. RenĂ© Hake’s team lost only three of the first ten league games and for a team that is a very good result. The victories against FC Den Bosch (5-1), Roda JC (1-3) and FC Dordrecht (2-5) were results that nobody actually expected, but that the youth team would also play a draw against title candidates De Graafschap and Cambuur in advance impossible. Nevertheless, Young FC Utrecht has now dropped to tenth place and that was due to the series of six matches without a win.
Finally there was another win for Jong FC Utrecht last Friday. Young AZ visited Sportpark Zoudenbalch and Tommy St. Jago and Justin Lonwijk put their team in the first half on a 2-0 lead. AZ right winger Richard Sedlacek scored in the first half, but it wasn’t enough. The second half was scoreless and Jong FC Utrecht won (finally again) 2-1.
Almere City:
Robert Molenaar and Almere City is not a good marriage. The 50-year-old teacher was fired last season at Roda JC and he was unable to make Christmas at his new employer. The club is dissatisfied with the progress of the team, but it may be clear that Molenaar was not really happy either. In the Yanmar Stadium, his team performed very well and Almere City remained unbeaten. The problem, however, is in the away games, because not a single game has been won outside of Almere. Whether Molenaar stepped in with the 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 formation, it remained unconvincing.
When Almere City suffered its first home defeat in the last round, the board was full. “Disappointing results, the way of playing and lack of progression underlie this decision,” the club writes through the social channels. The 0-2 loss against FC Den Bosch turned out to be the straw that broke the bucket and that really hurts Molenaar. “I would have liked to turn it around with players who would return from injuries, but unfortunately I was not allowed that,” the ex-trainer said, referring to the full injury claw.
Ole Tobiasen takes over and after the resignation of Michele Santoni last season he is a familiar face in Almere. Almere City was also in tenth place last year and the coach was sent out. The Deen managed to reach the play-offs and went down against Cambuur. Of the ten games he led then, Tobiasen managed to win seven.
