Juventus vs Crotone Prediction & Betting tips
Juventus should have had the title for a while, but in the last few weeks the Oude Dame is running a bit, causing some and some points to be lost. Currently the formation of Massimiliano Allegri is still good and winning the Coppa Italia gave the team an extra boost. On Sunday, Juventus will be given a new opportunity to secure the championship against the surprising Crotone.
Juventus :
Juventus was and this season is the towering favorite to add a new Scudetto to the total and this role makes the team from Turin to date more than true. Last Wednesday, even the first prize of the season was caught when Juventus managed to conquer the Coppa Italia in the final against Lazio Roma. Dani Alves and Leonardo Bonucci had already managed to get ahead with a 2-0 lead, and later that margin of two goals was defended. Winning the Coppa Italia has resulted in a welcome boost. Juventus has already secured a place in the final of the Champions League, but in the Serie A it is not really good at the last weeks. Atalanta Bergamo (2-2) and Torino (1-1) managed to keep Juventus from winning and AS Roma booked a big win in the Italian capital last week: 3-1. However, Juventus will be the big favorite against the blood-forming Crotone. For his own public, Juventus swallowed nine goals this season and Torino was even the first team to keep Juve from winning in his own stadium.
Allegri is a big fan of the roulation system this season, and it will also make the necessary changes this weekend. The Italian coach is economical on his players and especially in the defense this brings a few new faces every week. For example, experienced players like Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli may be on the bench again, but Juventus has shown that such changes do not affect performance. In the final of the Coppa Italia, Neto once again got the chance to show his qualities between the posts, but Sunday, club star Gianluigi Buffon will simply “come” again. Sami Khedira is close to fitness, but this match will let the German midfielder still shoot.
Probable setup Juventus
Buffon, Lichtsteiner, Bonucci, Benatia, Asamoah, Marchisio, Pjanic, Cuadrado, Dybala, Mandzukic, Higuain
Crotone:
The first season at the highest level in Italian football seemed to turn out to be newcomer Crotone to a huge disappointment. The men of Davide Nicola bungled together with Palermo and Pescara at the bottom of the rankings for months and therefore the degradation to the Series B seemed only a matter of time. The runner-up took account of a new season on the second plan, but in early April a march began and has not stopped so far. Crotone booked a 1-2 win on Chievo Verona on April 2, and the six games after which Nicola’s team managed to prevent defeat. The five wins and two matches have meant that Crotone still has the chance to escape the Serie B degradation, but then something special has to happen. Crotone is Empoli, the current number seventeen, approached to a point, but closing that gap during the decisive weeks of the season will certainly not be easy. The strength measure with Juventus is perhaps the hardest game of the season and a week later Crotone will conclude the competition for their own public with a match against Lazio Roma.
The last few weeks have obviously provoked new confidence, but the question now is whether Crotone has the ability to repeat Turin’s performance. Nicola’s men have demonstrated in recent weeks that they are able to get results against paper better opponents, but a defeat in Turin is really another cake.
Nicola has the luxury that he can have his best potential. Behind the name of Adrian Stoian, this season well for three goals, is another question mark, but that’s the only (slight) injury that Nicola has to take into account. To get a good result on Sunday, Crotone will have to go out on its own on two fronts. Defending, virtually nothing can be given away and in advance the savings should be converted into goals. The performance of Diego Falcinelli could therefore be decisive. The 25-year-old runner produced twelve goals this season and he seems to be the key to success.
Probable setup Crotone
Cordaz, Rosi, Ceccherini, Ferrari, Martella, Champagne, Crisidy, Barber, Nalini, Falcinelli, Trotta
