Lotte vs Meppen Prediction & Betting tips
This Friday the 3rd Bundesliga finally started its operation. On four different days the games are scheduled and distributed throughout the weekend and the following Monday. The fact that the importance of the 3rd league has risen in Germany is shown, among other things, by the many former Bundesliga clubs represented, such as 1860 Munich, the 1st FCK, Energie Cottbus, Hansa Rostock and the SpVgg Unterhaching. But also the KFC Uerdingen already played in the first Bundesliga. Not only many big club names are represented this season, but also many good players. The last match of this first and important day of the match is played by the teams of SF Lotte and SV Meppen. The SV Meppen has risen in the season 16/17 from the Regionalliga Nord in the 3rd league, but was able to prevail after a bumpy start in the third highest German league and ultimately ended up in a respectable seventh place in the table. The Sportfreunde Lotte, however, ended up only in a 16th place and thus played rather against relegation. For the match between Lotte and Meppen the betting odds for potential bets are balanced. Nevertheless – or for that very reason – we have a promising tip for this game jumped in the eye.
Lotte:
For the team of the Sportfreunde Lotte the past season was anything but positive. After three defeats and a draw at the start of the first win of the season succeeded only on the fifth match day, after they had landed on a relegation zone. But that should have been the last contact with the relegation places, because by sporadic victories succeeded in the meantime an improvement to the tenth place. In February of this year followed by a lull of seven games in a row without a win and you came back to the relegation zone very close. After Lotte get at least the important competitive games against other relegation candidates, which should ultimately be sufficient by the here obtained points to relegation.
The last four games, however, lost the team of coach Ismail Atalan all, even if these defeats against strong teams such as the 1st FC Magdeburg, but also been retired at SV Meppen. In these last four games Lotte scored only two goals, but received even nine goals. After this end of the season, the board of the SF Lotte has now counter-controlled and a new coach, coming from the regional league Matthias Maucksch committed. The squad has also been completely turned upside down. Of the current 26 players in the squad, 14 players are newcomers. After all, the most successful scorer, Maximilian Oesterhelweg, is still in the team. This met but also only eight times in 31 games, which shows that it was in the storm Lotte also in the storm. This in turn led to four signings, which should improve the offensive. How these join the team is hard to predict.
Meppen:
As a starter SV Meppen was surprised in the last season quite positive. After a draw and two defeats on the first three matchdays succeeded in an away win over Hansa Rostock, which certainly gave the team a new self-confidence. By the 13th matchday you even stood on the sixth place in the table. After that, the shape and luck of the SV dropped a bit. Nevertheless, work victories could be achieved and at the end of the season there was only one defeat in the last game against Werder Bremen II after seven games. A real superiority could never bring Meppen on the court and many wins were very close. Nevertheless proved the SV Meppen as a climber every time fighting spirit. In essence, the troupe from the preseason still stands, which speaks for the cohesion of the team. Three of nine players were also brought from their own U19 team in the squad.
In the attack, however, coach Christian Neidhart lost both center-forward. Among them also the most successful scorer of the team with 19 goals in 39 games, Benjamin Girth, who migrated to the 2nd Bundesliga. This gap is now closed by Eintracht Braunschweig II Deniz Undav, center forward Max Wegner and the only 18-year-old Sven Goldschmidt from their own youth. Max Wegner is coming from Sportfreunde Lotte and will therefore meet his former club in his first match. Because of a hip injury missing the experienced defender Marcel Gebers. Here, too, new forces and inexperienced players will have to be resorted to. Only the midfield is fixed as in the previous season and was only reinforced by two new entries. Again, a player from his own youth and Mirco Born was brought, for which the loan expired to SV Sandhausen.
