Monaco vs Nantes Prediction & Betting tips
AS Monaco and Nantes are perhaps the two most disappointing teams in Ligue 1 this season compared to the previous football season. Can one of the teams provide a little rehabilitation on Saturday evening?
AS Monaco:
It was only for the second time this season that AS Monaco was able to win four points from two consecutive matches in a row. A 2-1 home win at Toulouse was followed last weekend with a 2-2 draw against Montpellier. Nevertheless, the team of Leonardo Jardim is still in a disappointing eighteenth place with only nineteen points and there is still real danger of relegation for the Monegasks, who have a big problem this season with red cards. In the last six games (in all competitions), the Monegasken won no less than four red cards, including two for the Brazilian defender Naldo, who returns to Nantes in the match selection after sitting his suspension.
The engine behind the renewed AS Monaco is unquestionably the Portuguese Gelson Martins who has been involved in all six goals of his team since his arrival in Monaco. At Atletico Madrid, the Portuguese could not break any pots this season with zero hits and zero assists in eight league games. The Colombian Radamel Falco also remains important for L’ASM with three goals in his last five matches and a total of ten hits this season (in all competitions). In 76 league matches for the team from the Principality the Colombian scored 48 times, with which he has a good average average of 0.63 hits per game, an average where he is still more than 0.2 goal per match this season.
Nantes:
After a series of five league games in which only one point was taken, Nantes did good business last Wednesday by catching the full booty at Caen. After a red card for the Brazilian Andrei Girotto after more than half an hour of play, the fifth loss in six league games appeared in the making for Les Canaris, but the only goal of the game was ultimately a penalty from captain Valentin Rongier in the final stages. Nevertheless, Nantes is still in a no man’s land with seven points behind the number ten, NĂ®mes Olympique, and a lead of eight points on the number eighteen, AS Monaco.
In line with the earlier performances of this season, Nantes managed to make the difference in the final stage by the ninth goal of the season in the last quarter of the game and after four league matches with a counterstay in the second, was once again the first time the zero after the rest. Holding the zero turns out to be difficult for Les Canaris this season, because in 24 games only five times the zero was held. Ciprian Tatarusanu, the first choice under the bar, was responsible for this in 22 appearances alone, because his substitute, Maxime Dupe, won no less than six hits in two and a half matches. Tatarusanu is normally also against the Monegasken under the bar and that may be regarded as an encouraging fact for Les Canaris, because in three games against AS Monaco held the Romanian one time zero.
