Real Madrid vs Valladolid Prediction & Betting tips
The first win of the season was a success, the second should follow immediately: Real Madrid scored their first three points with a 3-2 win at Real Betis Sevilla, Real Valladolid will now be welcomed on matchday four in Spain’s La Liga – anything but three points would be there a huge surprise and disappointment.
Because of course only one victory counts for Los Blancos. The champion is the big favorite in the game Real Madrid vs. Valladolid, as the betting providers’ odds show. Of course, the notations for a normal victory in the three-way of the Madrilenians are not really lucrative.
Real Madrid :
Real Madrid took their first win in the second game – but happily. Three controversial VAR interventions turned out to be in favor of the master in this hectic and entertaining game.
Real were even 1: 2 behind at halftime, then benefited from an own goal by Betis right-back Emerson, who was hampered by Karim Benzema, who was probably slightly offside. The hit persisted despite VAR intervention. 15 minutes later, the pitiful Emerson had to leave the field after an emergency brake, again the VAR had intervened and first reported his offense to the referee.
And as if that wasn’t enough – after all, all good things come in threes – there was also a VAR intervention in Real’s winning goal: Betis defender Marc Bartra played the ball with his hand, captain Sergio Ramos converted the penalty with a cool panenka. Real Madrid won a turbulent game 3-2 at Betis and were happy about the hard-fought first win of the season in the second game.
Before that, Real Sociedad had a rather disappointing 0-0 start. If you look at the performances in both games, the master hasn’t really covered himself with fame yet.
However, Real also had to play away twice, now the first home game of the new season follows – although of course without fans. As a reminder: Real did not lose a single home game (15-4-0) last season!
The opponent is also much easier on paper, with the designated relegation candidate Real Valladolid coming to the Spanish capital. The fact that Valladolid is the blatant outsider is therefore not surprising, even the bookmakers have little confidence in the guests.
We would also be surprised if Real Madrid vs. Valladolid’s forecast for the champions’ home win does not come true. More betting tips, previews and analysis of the top games in La Liga can be found on the betting base under Soccer Spain.
Valladolid:
That anything but a loss of the guests would be a surprise is not a groundbreaking realization. In the endeavor to get something countable at Real Madrid, 15 of the 19 teams failed last season, the other four only scored one point.
If you also look at Valladolid’s away record in the past season, that doesn’t necessarily increase the belief that they will be able to take something away from the capital.
Although Valladolid scored in nine of the 19 games, almost half of the guest appearances (4 wins / 5 draws / 10 defeats), which placed them in the middle of the away table, Valladolid only scored 14 goals. Only two teams met their opponents less often in 2019/20.
Real Madrid also had the best defense in the league in home games (eleven goals against) and overall. Given these numbers, we don’t think it’s likely that the visitors will score. This quota is offered by the provider Bwin tested by the betting base, for example.
In line with this, Valladolid was unable to score a goal in the only away game so far in the still young season, on the second matchday it was 0-2 at Real Betis. At least there were goals in the home games, against Real Sociedad and Celta Vigo the result was 1: 1 each. Valladolid is picking up where they left off and is still scoring goals sparingly, just as it has been for the entire last season (32 goals in 38 games).
