Romania vs Norway Prediction & Betting tips
It promises to be a very interesting game on Tuesday evening when Romania and Norway compete in the Arena Nationala in Bucharest. Both countries are still fully in the race for direct EC qualification.
Romania:
Romania managed to qualify for only one of the last five major tournaments, but the men of national team coach Cosmin Contra have a good chance of re-appearing next year’s European Championships. With only three rounds to go, the Tricolorii in group F of the European Championship qualification are only one point behind Sweden, which will face Tuesday-evening against league-leader Spain. With a bit of luck, the Romanians will come tumbling into the top two in group F on Tuesday evening.
However, then there will first have to be won from Norway, a direct competitor for the battle for second place. Romania is certainly in good shape, because of the last six international matches only the home match against Spain was lost. Last weekend, Romania won 0-3 against the Faroe Islands. A convincing and deserved victory, although all Romanian hits did not fall until the last fifteen minutes.
Norway:
Norway is also still in the race for second place, although the Scandinavians, who are four points behind neighboring Sweden, can no longer afford a point loss. The team of national coach Lars Lagerbäck will therefore have to take three points in Romania, something that only the Netherlands and Spain succeeded in for the last two years.
Norway is therefore facing a tough job, although the country can rely on its performance last weekend. In front of its own public, the country managed to keep former world champion Spain at the last minute in a 1-1 draw, thanks to a striking penalty kick from Joshua King in injury time. The Bournemouth striker together with Martin Ødegaard (Real Sociedad) is the Norwegian hope in frightened days. Teenage sensation Erling Braut Haaland (Red Bull Salzburg) would also normally belong to that list, but he had to cancel due to injuries.
