Serbia vs Romania Prediction & Betting tips
The flames did not really splash out in the UEFA Nations League B group, as the first two group matches yielded only one goal in total. Perhaps the second round of play will bring more spectacle, if Serbia takes it up against Romania in Belgrade.
Serbia:
It was not a good thing, but thanks to a nice penalty from Dusan Tadic, Serbia did record three important points from Lithuania (0-1 victory) last Friday night.
The expectations around Orlovi are high, after they already made their appearance at the World Cup earlier this summer. Serbia was already in the group stage, but made a good impression both against Switzerland and Brazil. Serbia, however, is relatively new in the global subtop and is therefore still a bit volatile. However, it is beyond dispute that Sergey Milinkovic-Savic, Aleksandr Mitrovic, Nemanja Matic and Tadic can kick a nice ball.
Romania:
While Serbia managed to do the job in any case, Romania immediately suffered a loss in its debut in the Nations League. At home against Montenegro, the Eastern Europeans did not get beyond a goalless draw. The pressure is on Monday evening with the Romanians, although they are fortunate that group 4 does not consist of three but four countries. This means that each country plays six instead of four group matches in the battle for the leading position. So nothing has been lost yet, although a defeat in Belgrade would almost certainly mean the final blow.
Whether or not Romania still knows how to turn the tide, I doubt, because I honestly do not see the new Georghe Hagi running around yet. It is significant that Dorin Rotariu was number nine. He is let this season by Club Brugge to AZ Alkmaar, where he did not get any further than four rounds and zero goals so far. In addition, the Romanians suffer from quite a few injuries, including those of star player Vlad Chiriches.
