Sevilla vs Levante Prediction & Betting tips
In Sevilla’s own Sanchez Pizjuan, Sevilla takes on Levante on Friday-evening. Both teams are indebted to their supporters after their dramatic performance last week.
Sevilla :
Sevilla has been doing fine the last few weeks, but last weekend thundered hard from her pink cloud by losing no less than 5-0 from Real Madrid. The final score was already on the scoreboard after a disastrous first half. After the tea, the Andalusians recovered somewhat, although the game was of course already played long and wide. “We were completely played off the mat,” said attacker Nolito.
It is not the first time that Sevilla received a carload of adversaries in the first half. In the Champions League against Spartak Moscow and Liverpool, goalkeeper Sergio Rico was also passed four and three times respectively in the first company. That is not so much the fault of the keeper, but more that of the players before. The central defense duo Simon Kjaer and Clement Lenglet are too light, but because of Nico Pareja’s injury, Ernesto Marcucci has no other options. Furthermore, right back Gabriel Mercado does not suffice. The Argentinian is originally a center defender, but because Daniel Carrico is in the rags basket, he must temporarily save himself as right back. In addition, defensive midfielder Steven N’Zonzi is extremely missed. However, the French ball bagger has made it impossible in the Sanchez Pizjuan and steers on a winter departure for the English Premier League.
So there is still enough work to be done at the store in Seville, which, incidentally, can draw some hope from her home results. The seven home games of Los Rojiblancos in the Primera Division resulted in six victories and a draw. The Pizjuan is therefore again an impregnable fort this season.
Levante:
Levante was one of the trendsetters of the league start, but the club from Valencia has been moving further and further away in the rankings. The team of trainer Juan Muniz plays worse with the week. Also last weekend, in the 1-2 home defeat against Athletic Bilbao, the redblues were blunders again. Sergio Postigo in particular will have slept badly. The defender produced a penalty in the first half and shot in his own goal in the second half. Levante also could not make a fist in an attacking way, because the team hardly created any opportunities. ‘I think it’s best not to say much now and especially to work hard,’ says Muniz afterwards.
Remarkably, however, Levante does well on foreign soil. Apart from Valencia’s own Ciutat de los Los Granotas are already four competition duels in a row undefeated. In addition, the redblue again have midfielder Jefferson Lerma, who returned to the training field this week after injuries. Playmaker Enis Bardhi, however, is not completely fit and is a doubtful case for Friday night. The Macedonian, together with captain Jose Luis Morales, is one of the few with creativity and scoring ability on the side of Levante.
