Slavia Prague vs Dyn. Kyiv Prediction & Betting tips
At the Eden Arena in Prague, Slavia Prague and Dynamo Kiev will be hunting for a starting ticket for the Champions League’s main event on Tuesday-evening. A good result in the first leg is vital for both teams.
Slavia Prague:
By the end of the 2016-2017 season, the future of Slavia Prague was very bright. The Czechs had just seized their fourth national title from the club’s history and were recently taken over by a Chinese investment company, which was willing to put a lot of money into the club. Relatively big names like Danny, Tomas Necid and Halil Altintop were tempted to make a transition to the Czech capital, but despite their presence, Slavia Prague had a second place behind Viktoria Plzen and early elimination in the Europa League a disappointing season.
This season, the Czechs are therefore taking a different approach. This summer we said goodbye to the old vedettes, who gave way to up-and-coming talents such as Peter Olayinka (AA Gent), Vladimir Coufal (Slovan Liberec), Jaroslav Zeleny (Jablonec) and Alexandru Baluta (Craiova). As a result, trainer Jindich Trpisovsky’s selection is, on average, only 25.7 years old. For the time being, the Czechs seem to have made the right choice, because the first three competition duels were won convincingly. The self-confidence is thus completely back to the red-white.
Dynamo Kiev:
Dynamo Kiev has had major financial problems in recent years, which meant it had to be put on the spot, but the Ukrainians have meanwhile been back on track. Last season, the club finished in second place, on two points of eternal arch rival Shakhtar Donetsk. However, do not forget that Dynamo Kiev saw three points through the nose because of a regulatory 3-0 defeat, after it refused to play in the away match against Mariupol in the beginning of the season because of a lack of safety. That Dynamo Kiev this season, however, again belongs to one of the favorites turned out, however, this weekend, in which the captains Shakthar Dontesk 1-0 were defeated thanks to a goal from midfielder Benjamin Verbic. Thanks in part to that great victory, the Ukrainians are still without point loss after three rounds of play.
The future looks sunny for Dynamo Kiev, which finally had some money to spend this summer. In recent seasons the team had to bite on a stick, but this summer the club drew the wallet for, among others, the Brazilians Sidcley and Tche Tche, while goalkeeper Denis Boyko returned to the old litter after an adventure at Besiktas. A good move, because in three rounds, the team of trainer Aleksandr Khatskevich did not have to take any counterattack. In addition, the team managed to retain Viktor Tsygankov. The playmaker is one of the greatest talents on the Ukrainian fields and will also conduct the attack game of Dynamo Kiev in the diptych against Slavia Prague.
