Telstar vs Oss Prediction & Betting tips
Telstar receives a visit from TOP Oss in the 23rd round. Telstar is in the middle bracket, while the visitors are dangling somewhere at the bottom of the ranking. With a win, De Witte Leeuwen can take a big step towards the subtop. Does this work?
Telstar:
Andries Jonker makes his team flourish in Velsen-Zuid. Good and bad periods alternate, but in the end Telstar is in ninth place after 22 Kitchen Champion Division matches. The team is now in a good period, as five undefeated games is quite impressive for a club of this size. Certainly if you look at the opponents that are actually involved. They held both NAC Breda, De Graafschap and Excelsior on a draw. However, they won against Young AZ and FC Eindhoven. In the match against NAC, the first game in the Rabobank IJmond Stadium was also played this season. Five times was won and five times was lost. It is therefore better to ignore a draw no bet or a double chance at Telstar home games.
Last Friday the difficult away match against Excelsior was scheduled for De Witte Leeuwen. The game started in a spectacular way, when Shayne Pattynama made his first for Telstar after fifteen minutes. He did that miraculously and the Marco van Basten-like goal went viral. However, this goal no longer counted when Elias mar Omarsson was twice accurate for the team from Rotterdam. It didn’t take long for Reda Kharchouch to score his fifteenth goal of the season, but this too was quickly reversed by defender Frank Korpershoek’s own goal. Substitute Glynor Plet made the 3-3 a minute later. In the absolute final minutes Stijn Meijer made the 4-3 for Excelsior, but this was (afterwards wrongly) rejected for offside. Telstar still managed to take a point to IJmuiden.
TOP Oss:
TOP Oss is experiencing a particularly moderate season in the Kitchen Champion Division. Klaas Wels had prior to the season. The Brabanders are doing quite well at home, but outside Oss only one of the eleven games was won. Out of the last nine games, seven were even lost and the club is now in seventeenth place. Wels has tried 5-3-2, 4-4-2 and 4-3-3, but in the meantime the red and whites have switched back to the 5-3-2 variant.
TOP Oss finally won the last competition match and not the least opponent. Leader Cambuur came to visit and the team came back twice from behind and showed a lot of resilience. Philippe Rommens showed his value for the team with his involvement in two goals and eventually TOP Oss defeated her ten-strong opponent 3-2. Nice bonus points for Wels.
Last Tuesday TOP Oss was visited by the number two in the Eredivisie. In a fairly empty Frans Heesen Stadium, the home team went down against AZ with their heads held high. For the spectators there was little to see because of the extreme fog. Dani de Wit scored the opening goal and AZ doubled the score in the second half via Teun Koopmeiners. The Alkmaarders reached the quarter finals of the cup tournament at the expense of TOP Oss.
