Tottenham vs Bournemouth Prediction & Betting tips
On Saturday, José Mourinho will again play a home game with Tottenham Hotspur. After only this week Olympiakos Piraeus (4-2) was defeated in the Champions League, the Spurs will take on the Premier League against AFC Bournemouth this time.
Tottenham Hotspur:
Mourinho started his employment at Tottenham Hotspur with a 2-3 win over West Ham United. In East London, the Spurs took a 0-3 lead last Saturday against West Ham United and yet goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga, who replaces the injured Hugo Lloris, had to take two more goals in the final phase. Still, Mourinho managed to book his first win with Tottenham Hotspur at the London Stadium and on Wednesday evening The Lilywhites played a home game with Mourinho at the helm for the first time.
In the Champions League the Greek Olympiakos Piraeus was a guest and the Spurs already faced a 0-2 deficit within twenty minutes. Just before half-time Dele Alli made the connection goal and after the tea break Tottenham was also three times accurate, leaving the three points in North London. As a result, Tottenham is sure to overwinter in the Champions League and in a group with Bayern Munich, Olympiakos Piraeu and Red Star Belgrade, the Spurs could not be expected otherwise.
AFC Bournemouth:
AFC Bournemouth is in eleventh place in the Premier League and can even go over Tottenham Hotspur if it wins this weekend. The backlog on the Spurs is only one point and that does not only mean that Tottenham is busy with a bad season in the Premier League. It also means that Bournemouth is currently performing above expectations in the same Premier League, as The Cherries are neatly eleventh.
Bournemouth, on the other hand, did not score any points in the last two games. Four weeks ago, Bournemouth won a great 1-0 against Manchester United at home thanks to a goal from Joshua King. The two duels that followed, against Newcastle United and Wolverhampton, were both lost to Eddie Howe’s team. First, Newcastle United was 2-1 too strong for Bournemouth and last weekend The Cherries lost 1-2 in-house against Wolverhampton. The fact that Simon Francis ran into two yellow cards in the first half didn’t really help Howe and his team. Surprisingly, since the promotion in 2015, Bournemouth received a red card in the Premier League seven times and four of those red cards came in the name of Francis, who must therefore again suspend Tottenham. Philip Billing is also missing at Bournemouth this weekend due to a suspension.
