Utrecht vs Feyenoord Prediction & Betting tips
The Eredivisie has a catch-up game in midweek. FC Utrecht and Feyenoord saw their previously planned confrontation canceled due to heavy blows. Wednesday evening the Galgenwaard forms the setting for this make-up game.
Utrecht :
The team from Utrecht came into action again for the first time after the winter break last Friday. FC Utrecht had to finish a home match against fellow-subtopper AZ. The first half could hardly make the Domstedians a fist. The team dealt in carelessness and loss of the ball. After the team had fallen behind, it went better in the remainder of the game. Cyril Dessers took care of the equalizer fifteen minutes before time (1-1). Because of this result, Utrecht is still in the subtop, with only three points less than the opponent of Wednesday.
Utrecht did not stop in the transfer market during the past period. An old acquaintance from the Eredivisie has come to reinforce the selection. Midfielder Mateusz Klich did little to play at Leeds United and was hired by Utrecht for half a year. At PEC Zwolle and FC Twente the Pool was always an added value, so this seems to be an excellent temporary reinforcement for Utrecht. For Yassine Ayoub, Wednesday’s game will be a special one – after the summer, he is the contract player for Feyenoord.
Feyenoord:
If the Rotterdammers were still hopeful for the renewal of the league title, then that hope may go into the trash after last Sunday’s loss. Initially the team of Giovanni van Bronckhorst had the things in the away match against Ajax reasonable for each other. The team from Amsterdam often had the ball, but could hardly become dangerous, and it was Feyenoord that had the best chance shortly before half time. Steven Berghuis saw his commitment turned by Andre Onana.
After the tea, the game started quickly and the national champion played a lost game within fifteen minutes. Two quick goals and a second yellow card for Nicolai Jørgensen made the game decided. Afterwards, the annoyance of the Rotterdam team turned to Joël Veltman (who was assigned to Jørgensen’s second yellow card) and referee Björn Kuipers (who scattered somewhat with maps and left Naimim Ziyech with no innings). Yet it would be too easy to bring back the defeat here. Feyenoord was particularly weak in the match, and once again the midfield was totally unable to provide creative impulses.
The chagrin about the defeat in Amsterdam was partially washed away on Monday with Robin van Persie’s return. On Monday Van Persie was active again for the first time as Feyenoorder, after a foreign career of almost fourteen years. Probably the basis for RVP Wednesday still too early. After the suspension of Jørgensen, Dylan Vente is probably the striker. After his saltless performance in the Classics, Jean-Paul Boëtius will probably have to give up his place to Sam Larsson. Van Bronckhorst also has a lot to choose from in the defense.
