Amiens vs Reims Prediction & Betting tips
Amiens and Stade Reims both did not win their last three games in the Ligue 1. Can one of the two teams take the full booty again on Wednesday evening?
Amiens:
Amiens started the month of November well with a win at Stade Brestois, but after that the team of Luka Elsner only suffered defeats. In the Ligue 1, successive losses were lost to Stade Rennais, RC Strasbourg and last weekend to Montpellier. At half-time, Les Licornes was still at 1-1 when he visited Montpellier, but after a red card for Juan Otero, Elsner’s team finally went down 4-2. With the third consecutive defeat, Amiens has now dropped to sixteenth place, with only one point ahead of the shared numbers seventeen, Metz and Dijon.
Elsner has been sticking to a 4-2-3-1 system in recent weeks, but the Slovenian coach has clearly not found his ideal position, partly due to injuries and suspensions. Against Stade Reims, Aurélien Chedjou will most likely return to the base after a suspension, but Elsner has some problems in the front. Otero is suspended for this match after his red card against Montpellier and Sehrou Guirassy cannot be deployed due to an injury. So there seem to be opportunities for Chadrac Akolo, who so far has to do mainly with raidings this season.
Stade Reims:
Due to three draws in the last three league games, Stade Reims has lost quite a few positions in the rankings in the last few weeks. Last week visiting Metz was disappointing with a 1-1 draw and last weekend a strong playing Stade Reims against Girondins de Bordeaux did not get any further than a 1-1 draw. With a 1-0 deficit and a red card for Alaixys Romao in the final phase, the team of David Guion even seemed to be losing, but in injury time Boulaye saved Dia a point for his team.
Only Paris Saint-Germain, Olympique Marseille and AS Saint-Étienne achieved more points per away match on average than Stade Reims this season, so the deformation is good for the Guion team this season. It is remarkable that les Rouges et Blancs already played a draw five times in home games, but only had to share the points once on the move. Guion’s team seems to play a little less defensively in away games and, point by point, that seems to work to the advantage of les Rouges et Blancs.
