Jong Utrecht vs Roda Prediction & Betting tips
Two teams that are in a dramatic form will face each other on Monday evening at Zoudenbalch. Which team can add another win?
Young FC Utrecht:
Young FC Utrecht finished last seasons last and last but one, but this season things are going surprisingly well with René Hake with the Utrecht promises. After 21 games, the team already managed to play 28 points together, putting Young FC Utrecht in a handsome eleventh place. The 21 games were divided into seven wins, seven draws and seven defeats, and the number of hits and goals scored is almost the same: 31 for and 32 against. The promises have become a competitive opponent this season.
However, it was mainly at the start of the season that the points were achieved. At the beginning of October Jong FC Utrecht had already won five times in the first nine games, but then only twice in the twelve subsequent games. The form is therefore far from the team. Compared to the first half of the season, Mitchell van Rooijen and Tommy St Jago have been transferred to the first team, while Junior van der Velden is now under contract with FC Den Bosch.
Young FC Utrecht started 2020 with a big damper. A visit to title candidate Jong FC Utrecht seemed on its way to a creditable point, but in the 95th minute De Graafschap still made the winning goal.
Roda JC:
Roda JC is working on a dramatic series. The Limburgers are already ten official games without victory and the play-offs now seem to be almost out of sight. After 21 games, the team of Jean-Paul de Jong only won five times and, due to the three-point penalty, the Kerkrade officials only had 18 points, resulting in a 16th place in the ranking. The last time Roda won a league match was on October 25, almost three months ago.
Also last week, Roda at home against archrival and fellow low-flyer MVV failed to win. The team was even lucky that it left a point to the encounter, as in the 88th minute MVV still led 0-2. With more luck than wisdom, Roda dragged another point out of the fire. The club also fears a new fine, because the match had to be stopped twice because of fireworks.
A plus is that De Jong can have an almost completely fit selection. Ba Muaky Simakala is missing, while defenders Mitchell Keulen and Richard Jensen are not yet fit. It is therefore in line with expectations that the same eleven names as against MVV will make their appearance last week.
