Telstar vs Nijmegen Prediction & Betting tips
Mid-range drivers Telstar and NEC meet each other in the Kitchen Champion Division Friday night. Both clubs are about the same, but this will feel much better for the home team than for the visitors.
Telstar:
The 5-3-2 lineup of Andries Jonker seems to work extremely well in the Kitchen Champion Division. If the game against NEC is won, it would be the seventh home win of Telstar this season. That is a feat that Mike Snoei only managed to achieve last season in the penultimate game round. This is one of the reasons why Telstar is in eighth place. De Witte Leeuwenverbazen friend and foe and managed to win the last three games in the Rabobank IJmond Stadium. Jonker experimented four rounds with a 4-3-3 formation earlier this season, but that proved unsuccessful. The defensive-looking team, on the other hand, provides well-cared for, attractive football and the striker duo Reda Kharchouch and Elayis Tavsan win many points for the club from Velsen-Zuid.
Things went wrong last Friday. Without Kharchouch, Telstar went to visit Almere City and with a base place for Glynor Plet it quickly took the lead. Benaissa Benamar scored the opening goal, but within ten minutes Thomas Verheydt scored twice, as a result of which the Witte Leeuwentoch faced a deficit. Immediately after the goal, Plet scored the 2-2. Only late in the second half did the Almere City attack lead to 3-2 and 4-2. For example, the undefeated series of six games by Telstar was ended.
NEC:
NEC wanted to raise their eyes in the Keuken Kampioen Division with their trainer trio. Purely based on the selection, this should certainly be possible. Jonathan Okita, Anthony Musaba and Randy Wolters are attacking forces that could make every Kitchen Champion Division club difficult. However, we see little of this in Nijmegen. Too little is won and point loss against clubs like MVV, FC Dordrecht and Jong FC Utrecht is not appreciated by the following. Nevertheless, the supporters keep coming to the Goffert to give their team a helping hand. NEC has been waiting for a win for weeks, but with a program from Young Ajax, Cambuur and Telstar it is not going well either. With NAC and Go Ahead Eagles on the program next week, a victory would do much to boost confidence in Nijmegen.
Last week it did not win in the Goffert against SC Cambuur. Under the leadership of Bas Nijhuis, the Frisian leader played fresh and focused. With Robert Mühren in shape you know that there will be counter goals and they will come. Mühren scored twice and this ensured that Cambuur left with 0-2 for the long journey back to Leeuwarden.
At NEC we will see 17-year-old Dirk Proper in the starting eleven of Adrie Bogers, François Gesthuizen and Rogier Meijer. He made his debut against FC Den Bosch and will act as an attacking midfielder in the 4-3-3 formation.
