Tottenham vs Inter Prediction & Betting tips
One thing is for sure, it will be very exciting Wednesday night at the Wembley Stadium in London. In Group B of the Champions League Tottenham Hotspur necessarily has to win, while Inter has a draw enough to secure her place in the knockout phase.
Tottenham Hotspur:
Early elimination was in the air, but thanks to Harry Kane’s two late goals against PSV (2-1) three weeks ago, the Champions League winter hibernation is still possible for Tottenham Hotspur. Then, however, there will have to be won for Inter’s own audience, which still enjoys a lead of three points. It is really the death or the gladiolus for the English on Wednesday evening, because in a draw they can write a spot on the belly of the last sixteen of the European champions ball.
With five wins in a row, Tottenham Hotspur is in good shape. Last weekend, townsman Chelsea was tied to the victor by 3-1 thanks to goals from Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Son Hueng-Min. There was even more good news, because after two months of absence, Jan Vertonghen made his return to the selection of The Lilywhites. Trainer Mauricio Pochettino is undoubtedly delighted that he can have the Belgian basket once again, as he is currently very thin in the defenders. Davinson Sanchez must pass the cracker against Inter anyway, while also Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose probably should get stuck. In the vanguard, however, the English have no problems, where Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane will pull the cart.
Inter:
The situation of Inter looks a lot rosier. With seven points from four group matches, the Italians occupy the second place in group B of the Champions League. With two more games to go, they have three points ahead of close attacker Tottenham Hotspur, so they have enough point at Wembley to secure wintering in European million ball.
Surviving on Wembley is therefore the motto. With only two losses in the last thirteen games in all competitions, Inter loses seldomly, although the Nerazzurri just before the interland break went down 4-1 at Atalanta. Last weekend, however, the team of coach Luciano Spalletti put things in order by winning 3-0 against Frosinone at home. The Milanese brought a bred B-team within the lines and kept Ivan Perisic and star player Mauro Icardi outside the base. In particular, Icardi is of course perilous with three goals in four Champions League matches and will be keen to scaleer Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday evening.
