Valencia vs Krasnodar Prediction & Betting tips
The Mestalla is Thursday night the scene of the confrontation between Valencia and Krasnodar in the eighth finals of the Europa League. The Spaniards are favorites, but will have to be on their guard against the giant killer from Russia.
Valencia:
The current season of Valencia is in stark contrast to last season, in which Los Che managed to crown Best of the Rest with a fourth place in La Liga. This year’s football season, however, the club from the orange city is not doing as well. Partly because of no less than fifteen draws in 26 rounds, the fourth place last season is far away, meaning that the Spaniards can only realistically win a starting ticket for the Champions League by winning the Europa League.
Since the turn of the year, things have improved a bit better with Valencia and trainer Marcelino Toral is a bit stronger in the saddle in the Mestalla. The team recently placed itself at the expense of Real Betis for the final of the Copa del Rey and in the sixteenth finals of the Europa League was settled with the Scottish Celtic. Scoring, however, remains a problem for Valencia, which did not manage to make more than two goals in the last nine official matches. In defensive terms, however, it is a mustache for the Spaniards. Goalkeeper Neto has been holding a broken finger for weeks, but in spite of this the Brazilian was passed only once in his last 450 minutes. “This kind of inconvenience comes with it. I would like to continue to help the team, ‘said the sober closing.
Krasnodar:
Krasnodar is still relatively unknown to the big soccer public. That is not surprising, because the Russian club was founded in 2008 and has only been active in the Russian Premier League since 2011. The Bulls are doing great, however, because in the past five years they have always ended in the top five. This season, the team of coach Murad Musaev is even a major title candidate. Krasnodar currently occupies the second place in the Russian royal class, just two points behind leader Zenit St. Petersburg.
It is therefore clear that Krasnodar should not be underestimated. Bayer Leverkusen can now also talk about it, as the Germans were eliminated by the Russian vice-leader in the previous round of the Europa League on the basis of goals (0-0 and 1-1). The big question, however, is how fresh the visitors will be on Thursday night, because the Russian competition was resumed after a months-long winter break last weekend. On visiting Spartak Moscow, the green blacks managed to pull a 1-1 draw from the fire thanks to a goal by Mauricio Pereyra. However, the Uruguayan midfielder has been suspended for the first leg in and against Valencia. His absence is a hefty loss for Krasnodar, who has not been able to win seven games in a row (not counting exercise goals).
